SUPPLEMENTAL CLASSES FOR HOMESCHOOLERS
2022-2023 Program Registration is Open!
Please check out the programs page for more information about my school year classes. These are in person classes. You can join in anytime even if classes have already started (if there is room). You can drop off or you can hang out and learn and play with us. See below for upcoming standalone classes and summer day camps.
SUMMER CAMP 2022
June 20 - July 29
Each theme meets once a week for 6 weeks. Please email Carol at firstname.lastname@example.org or text at 775-997-8114 to register or for more information. Parents can drop off or stay for the fun. Please bring lunch, snack, filled water bottle, change of clothes, towel, and/or clothes that are quick dry for water play during breaks. Each theme is $200 for the 6-week session. You can pay in installments between registration and the end of July. I try to give sibling discounts when I can, but these are very heavy materials-included adventures.
LEGO SPIKE EDUCATION
Mondays - 10AM-3PM - Grades 1-2
I'll be using the lesson plans via Lego Education https://education.lego.com/en-us/lessons for Great Adventures and Amazing Amusement Park. We will do one challenge in the morning and one challenge in the afternoon with plenty of time for summertime play in between. These lessons are designated by Lego for grades 1-2, but I'm flexible.
EXPLORE THE WORLD
Tuesdays, 10AM-3PM, Ages 5 - 13
Each week we will "visit" a different country in the world, trying and cooking new foods, making arts and crafts, learning about what makes each country unique, and playing games from that country.
Wednesdays, 10AM-3PM, Ages 5-13
Each week we'll explore a different Disney theme with cooking, crafts, movie clips, songs, trivia, games, and more!
Thursdays, 10AM-3PM, Ages 5-13
Explore the amazing world of our body systems with an emphasis on science experiments and creating scientific models. Fun physical and mental challenges to test our own bodies.
LEGO SPIKE EDUCATION
Fridays, 10AM-3PM, Grades 3-5
I'll be using the lesson plans from Lego Education https://education.lego.com/en-us/lessons for Happy Traveler and Crazy Carnival Games. We'll do one challenge in the morning and one in the afternoon with plenty of time for summertime free play. Lessons are designed for grades 3-5 but I'm flexible.
